Job Description
Youth Services System Inc is hiring a Building and Repair Tech in Wheeling, WV. This is a full-time position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow work order requests and report progress to supervisor
- Perform tasks to service, repair, and maintain buildings, equipment, appliances, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
- Maintains inventory for all equipment, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Requests in advance from the supervisor all needed supplies and maintains a supply inventory
- Report any repair and improvement needs or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Monitors buildings, grounds, and equipment, identifies and reports to the supervisor the general maintenance needs, and performs related maintenance and repair tasks
- Maintain records and submit reports related to building, grounds, maintenance, and equipment.
- Maintain care for all equipment, tools, and maintenance supplies
- Responsible for compliance with fire, health, and safety standards
- Performs tasks necessary to maintain building and grounds
- Ensures vehicles are in good operating condition, maintaining oil, tires, fluids, inspections, etc.
- Maintain records and submit reports related to building, grounds, maintenance, and equipment.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and staff
- Attend training as assigned
- Respond to on-call maintenance emergencies
- Employees are required to use their personal vehicles in certain circumstances and as directed in the performance of their duties
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be able to work alone without immediate supervision
