The Opportunity:
Seeking a Maintenance Foreman that will oversee maintenance operations using precision and preventative practices to maximize mill production and equipment uptime. This position is crucial in the fundamental development of mechanics, as well as provide leadership for safety and efficiency with their respective crafts. How you will
Impact Smurfit WestRock:
Be a safety leader. Identify high-risk situations, conduct and document daily and weekly safety meetings, and coordinate maintenance related safety activities. Provide direction and operation of hourly maintenance crew (mechanical and electrical) Serve/direct as Incident Commander, Fire Marshall assistant Responsible for reporting crew findings, manpower time, reliability issues, etc. (electronically) Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance departments to plan, schedule, and execute tasks Assist with all facets of the reliability program and troubleshooting: RCFAs, laser alignment, balancing, lubrication, etc. Prioritize and coordinate Operations downtime events (break-ins, system, and major outages) Attend daily/shift cross-over meetings (mill knowledge and preparation included) Perform crew manning/supervisory reports What you need to succeed: At least 5 years maintenance experience Fundamental understanding of paper mill processes affecting Operations and Maintenance operations. Good oral and written communications skills, highly skilled in group communication as well as one to one communication. Ability to determine effective and appropriate means of communication.
