Overview We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Logistics Maintenance & Safety Manager to support a fast-paced delivery and logistics operation. This position plays a key role in keeping our operation safe, organized, compliant, and ready for daily service . The ideal candidate is proactive, mechanically knowledgeable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change quickly. You'll work closely with operations leadership and drivers to address maintenance needs, prevent service interruptions, maintain safety standards, and ensure our equipment and operation are ready to perform every day. What You'll Do Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and safety needs of a high-volume logistics and delivery operation. Monitor company vehicles and operational equipment for maintenance, repair, and safety concerns. Coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service appointments to minimize operational downtime. Respond quickly to vehicle or equipment issues that could impact daily routes or service. Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, repair, and service records. Track maintenance schedules and ensure required services are completed on time. Conduct routine safety inspections and identify potential hazards before they become larger problems. Help ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable transportation regulations. Investigate safety concerns, incidents, vehicle damage, and maintenance-related issues. Coordinate with vendors, repair facilities, and service providers as needed. Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs, replacements, or operational improvements. Support driver safety initiatives, training, and corrective action when necessary. Work closely with operations management to ensure vehicles and equipment are available to meet daily route demands. Assist with emergency situations, breakdowns, and other operational challenges. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, reliability, and preventive maintenance . What We're Looking For Previous experience in logistics, transportation, fleet maintenance, automotive maintenance, safety, delivery operations, or a related field . Leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to recognize vehicle or equipment maintenance concerns. Experience coordinating preventive maintenance and repairs. Knowledge of workplace and transportation safety practices. Familiarity with OSHA requirements and safety documentation. Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly to unexpected operational issues. Comfortable working with drivers, vendors, technicians, and management. Basic computer skills and ability to learn maintenance, fleet, and logistics management systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Who Will Thrive in This Role?
