JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates and directs the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and machinery, performing these duties personally or through subordinate technicians. This role drives reliability and preventive maintenance programs, hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and a strong safety culture across the coating maintenance department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules may be subject to change to meet company needs and business requirements. Implement maintenance and reliability systems throughout the plant, including PM, TPM, and workplace organization. Train engineers and technicians on maintenance techniques, job safety analysis (JSA), and lockout/tagout procedures. Lead breakdown analysis and develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans. Support in-house development of imported spares to reduce lead time and cost. Develop and manage vendor relationships to support maintenance operations. Ensure the availability of parts and materials needed for maintenance activities. Upgrade equipment to de-bottleneck processes and improve reliability. Support implementation and ongoing use of SAP for maintenance operations. Implement OSHA standards and drive a zero-recordable-injury safety culture. Inspect construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications. Direct maintenance personnel engaged in equipment installation, facilities repair, and preventive maintenance. Serve as a hands-on leader for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs. Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises employees in the maintenance department and coordinates activities with operations management. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Welspun's policies and applicable laws, working closely with the HR department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and administering discipline; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical, Electronic, or a related field, with five to ten years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills Working knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software; SAP experience preferred.
