Job Description

Objective of the
Job:
To keep up with budgets, reduce cost where it is possible. Look for ways to improve our uptime and how we can be more efficient. Work with all areas of the plant, assist where is needed (Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, Environmental, Contractors and Vendors for parts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Oversight of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality programs and "where applicable" ResponsibleSteel requirements; follow BRS directives and comply with regulatory requirements within scope of responsibility. 2) Responsible for safety training in all areas for the WTS team (LOTO), make sure the employees stay updated with any new procedures. 3) Assign job tasks and work as per electrical/mechanical project schedules on off of PM days. 4) Review all electrical/ mechanical drawings with technicians performing on assigned jobs to them. 5) Stimulate fabrication standards to ensure quality work attained from assigned staff. 6) Recruit, guide, train, monitor and terminate assigned employees as required. 7) Schedule, assign, plan and supervise electrical / mechanical WTS personnel performance on different electrical/ mechanical projects. 8) Plan and prepare work and equipment usage schedules. 9) Develop electrical / mechanical expenditures priority and equipment and appliance maintenance procedures. 10) Train and inform employees about new work procedures, keep them up to date on any changes. 11) Provide information on modification on work policies, safety regulations, electrical codes and specifications. 12) Review future buildings plans and inspect new buildings to ensure compliance with current electrical codes and maintenance specifications. 13) Support Electrical / mechanical Engineers in design needs. 14) Develop electrical / mechanical material and labor forecasts. 15) Building functional location in our maintenance system (Guide Ti) Assign work orders, keep up with spare parts, sending repairable parts out for repair, budgets, track downtimes and try to prevent future failures, Setting up Inspections and PM schedules. 16) Checks PPE in accordance with site condition. 17) Coordinate with contractors to ensure all jobs are completed safe, correct, and cost effective. 18) Work and train employees on 4160v switchgears, Power recordings, Transformer oil sampling, PLC, IBA, HMI, Drives, Soft-starts, Simi code relays, and Protection relays. 19) Supervising the installation of electronic equipment systems, circuit computers, equipment, intercommunication systems, fire warning devices, and other different safety systems. 20) Inspecting the repair of different instruments and realizing and rectifying the different electrical/mechanical malfunctions in the same. 21) Observing and supervising the initiation of old and new electrical/mechanical instruments and equipment. 22) Supervising and directing the design of proper sketches to acquire proper knowledge of the electrical systems and the electrical circuits as a whole. 23) Analyzes reasons for production disturbances in cooperation with other maintenance and production personnel. 24) Observes safety, review accident/ incident reports and assist in investigation as required 25) Supports management in optimizing quality, cost, availability and performance of equipment 26) To demonstrates commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect. 27) Able to competently handle a fast paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills. 28) Has the ability to use MS excel, Word, outlook, PowerPoint proficiently 29) Work collectively to insure and maintain environmental compliance 30) Scheduling personnel work force, to meet BRS demands
Qualifications:
These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position. All qualifications must comply with provincial human rights legislation.
Qualifications include:
1) Safety should be the highest priority, for Supervisor and team members as well 2) Specialized knowledge
  • PLC background, Electrical, Mechanical & Leadership 3) Skills
  • Be able to work in a face paced application. Has the ability to use MS excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiently. 4) Professional Certification 5) Experience
  • in electrical / mechanical, controls, medium to low voltage (4160 to 24vdc) & Switchgears is a must 6) PLC
  • TIA Portal is preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Special working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working outdoors, working with challenging clients, and so forth. This job can be physically demanding one where the incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and so forth.
