Senior Maintenance Manager The Senior Maintenance Manager leads the Maintenance, Automation, and Facilities teams at a large-scale industrial products manufacturing plant with 400+ employees and a Maintenance team of 40+ technicians on 3 shifts. You will own plant and departmental goals for reliability, cost and waste reduction, safety, quality, and downtime reduction, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will also track progress against goals and ensure capital projects and resources deliver maximum value to the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Manage day-to-day maintenance operations, including multi-shift supervisors and a team of 40+ Maintenance Technicians.
Process & Program Standardization:
Ensure all maintenance processes are fully documented (capital start-up plans, SOPs, DOPs, and run documents). Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs and a well-run MRO and inventory system.
Budget Management:
Build and manage operating and capital budgets for Maintenance and Facilities in partnership with plant leadership. Develop short- and long-term cost containment strategies, and monitor repair, labor, parts, services, and supplies spending.
Maintenance Planning:
Schedule work to achieve on-time monthly PM and calibration compliance, complete the workload backlog, and advance continuous improvement activities.
Technical Oversight:
Lead diagnostics, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of facilities, manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, and air compressors.
Predictive Maintenance & Reliability:
Implement routine predictive testing (vibration analysis, air leak detection, thermography) and administer the TPM program.
CMMS Management:
Use the plant CMMS to schedule PMs, assign personnel, order parts, and maintain critical spares inventory.
Continuous Improvement:
Apply Lean methods to improve OEE, and track and eliminate top downtime contributors.
Contractor Management:
Contract with and oversee vendors for plant and facilities maintenance, monitoring cost and quality of work.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and maintain thorough records.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Lead project teams to deliver safety, quality, and delivery solutions for Operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 7+ years of maintenance management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Proven leadership, planning, communication, and influencing skills, including leading exempt staff Proficiency with predictive and preventive maintenance software Strong diplomacy and cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable plans and influence at all levels, including upward Comfort representing the plant with suppliers, vendors, key customers, and corporate teams (HQ Engineering, Marketing, Packaging Development, and other plants) Experience mentoring and coaching teams on technical skills Scope & Impact This role has full management responsibility for a sizeable team of supervisors and professionals, including performance management and input on compensation decisions. You will make sound decisions from complex information, apply technical expertise to solve problems, and share responsibility with the Plant Leadership Team for resource and financial planning.
