We are seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance (DOM) to oversee and elevate maintenance operations across a growing aerospace and aviation services organization. This executive-level role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence, lead high-performing teams, and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality across multiple maintenance facilities. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Director of Maintenance will be responsible for strategic oversight of aircraft, engine, and component maintenance operations while ensuring full compliance with FAA regulations and industry best practices. What You'll Do Strategic Leadership Provide executive oversight for all maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, technical publications, and company procedures. Develop and implement long-term maintenance strategies that support business growth and operational objectives. Partner with executive leadership to establish priorities, improve operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as the primary maintenance authority and regulatory liaison for aviation maintenance operations. Operational Excellence Direct Maintenance Control, Technical Support, and Line Maintenance functions to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. Ensure aircraft, engines, and components are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements, manufacturer specifications, service bulletins, and quality standards. Oversee workforce planning, tooling, equipment, facilities, and support services to meet operational demands. Lead initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Team Development Build, mentor, and develop maintenance leadership teams. Ensure technical personnel maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and training requirements. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous learning. Financial & Customer Management Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans. Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control initiatives while maintaining operational effectiveness. Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring maintenance performance meets or exceeds expectations. Qualifications Required FAA Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate. Minimum 10 years of aviation maintenance experience. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing aviation maintenance operations. Demonstrated success leading large maintenance organizations within commercial aviation, aerospace, MRO, military, or related industries. Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance programs, quality systems, and regulatory compliance requirements. Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Advanced technical training, aviation education, or leadership development programs. Experience supporting large-scale maintenance programs, heavy maintenance, modifications, component repair, or complex aerospace projects. Experience managing multi-site operations and large maintenance teams.
