This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a large residential environment while also providing leadership and direction to a Maintenance Assistant . What You'll Do Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and physical plant operations of the community. Supervise and direct one Maintenance Assistant . Perform and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the community. Maintain building systems, resident rooms, common areas, equipment, and facility grounds. Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs involving: Plumbing Electrical HVAC Carpentry Painting and texturing Appliances and equipment Landscaping and irrigation Maintain resident furniture, equipment, and other facility property. Conduct regular preventative maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records. Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in an on-call rotation. Maintain and test emergency power systems. Assist with fire and life-safety inspections, drills, and emergency preparedness. Coordinate and oversee outside vendors, including pest control and landscaping contractors. Identify maintenance and safety concerns and ensure they are addressed promptly. Work closely with community leadership and staff to maintain a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment for our residents. Complete required documentation and ensure maintenance activities are properly recorded. Maintain knowledge of applicable safety requirements, building systems, and facility policies. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2+ years of facility/physical plant maintenance experience preferred. 1+ year of supervisory experience preferred. Experience in assisted living, healthcare, senior living, or another institutional setting is a plus. Vocational or skilled-trade training preferred.

Working knowledge of:

Plumbing Electrical HVAC Carpentry/general repairs Painting and texturing Equipment maintenance Landscaping/irrigation Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation; pickup truck preferred . This Is a Hands-On Position We are looking for someone who is comfortable doing the work, not just assigning it . The Director of Maintenance will spend time throughout the community inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and building systems. The position requires frequent standing and walking, as well as bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing ladders, accessing ceilings and roofs, and lifting approximately 10-50 pounds. The Director of Maintenance must also be available to respond to urgent maintenance needs and participate in an on-call rotation. What We Value At Paseo Village, we are a team.
