Job Description

Achieve More with Volt Volt is hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor for a leading manufacturing facility in Hayward, CA. As a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor you will: Lead, supervise, and mentor maintenance technicians in daily repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities Coordinate and prioritize maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment Oversee the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, VFDs (drives), and electrical systems Inspect, test, and evaluate machinery to identify equipment failures and recommend corrective actions Ensure all equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards Review blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and maintenance manuals to support repairs and installations Manage maintenance work orders, inventory, parts procurement, and maintenance documentation Support facility improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and new equipment installations Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and preventive maintenance programs Train, coach, and develop maintenance personnel on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and safety procedures Collaborate with production and management teams to improve equipment reliability and overall plant performance

Schedule:

M-F 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

High School Diploma or GED Previous supervisory or lead experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or production environments Strong experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting, VFDs (drives), motor controls, and industrial automation equipment Experience rebuilding pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment Ability to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience managing maintenance schedules, work orders, and technician workloads Experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance machinery Welding, fabrication, HVAC, or plumbing experience is a plus Commitment to workplace safety, continuous improvement, and equipment reliability

Pay Rate:

$30-$40 per hour DOE
