Maintenance Lead - Rancho Seco Recreational Area Live where you work. Work where you play. Rancho Seco Recreational Area spans 400 acres of natural beauty, offering bird-watching, boating, camping, fishing, and miles of scenic trails. And we're looking for a Maintenance Lead who wants to blend hands‑on work with an adventurous lifestyle. What You'll Do As the Maintenance Lead, you'll help keep the park safe, clean, and welcoming for thousands of guests each year. You'll oversee the upkeep of campgrounds, shade structures, renovated restrooms and showers, recreation buildings, the boathouse, and more—ensuring visitors can enjoy the park in comfort. Summary of Position:
Oversee general site maintenance ensuring repairs and other maintenance tasks throughout the property are timely, complete and performed according to the Company's safety requirements to ensure a pleasurable guest experience. Some plumbing and landscaping/grounds work may be required.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct activities of a team of approximately 15 associates.
  • Ensure receipt and completion of revenue and general Maintenance Requests (MRs) as required by Guest Services and employees
  • Identify and ensure that all materials and tools are available at job site for required repair/maintenance work
  • Inspect and ensure that all MRs are completed as planned
  • Ensure that repairs and inspections of the pool (if applicable) and surrounding grounds are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure that the daily designated work plan is completed and reported to the GM
  • Ensure that all identified departmental reports are completed as scheduled for review by the GM
  • Ensure that the General Manager is apprised, on a daily basis, of the status of all ongoing projects
  • Tasks may include painting, carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical, masonry, concrete, heating (if applicable) , welding, roofing and other related jobs
  • Assist on assigned maintenance and mechanical duties for buildings and associated facilities, furnishings and equipment
  • Capable of independent "hands on repairs" in all maintenance disciplines
  • Efficiently and in a timely manner, manage parts inventory for general stock
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures including when lifting, climbing, etc.
  • Ensure polite, knowledgeable and timely customer service when responding to visitor inquiries
  • Other duties as requested
Position Requirements:
  • Basic to Intermediate computer skill level to include Word and Excel
  • Demonstrate skill in the use of tools, materials and equipment common to maintenance and repair
  • Must be able to work on ladders, scaffolding, elevated platforms or catwalks, crawl spaces, tunnels, ledges and roofs
  • Understand and effectively follow oral and written instructions
  • Strong, professional, people skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts and my be asked to be on call 24/7 in the case of an emergency
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Must have a valid driver license to operate vehicles throughout property
Compensation:
$22 per hour, plus perks listed above!
Education and Experience:
Education:
High school Diploma or equivalent preferred Technical/trade school diploma or equivalent training
Experience:
