Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding position supporting students' growth and well-being as an onsite Physical Therapist for a full school year. This contract opportunity is located near Herald, CA, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week with an ASAP start. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing students' physical abilities, promoting independence, and ensuring access to educational activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid Physical Therapist license in the state Prior experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations Expertise in delivering physical therapy assessments and interventions in a school setting Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to maintain accurate records and adhere to documentation requirements Commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality standards
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' motor skills and functional abilities to develop individualized treatment plans Provide direct physical therapy services and adapt activities to meet students' needs within the school environment Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote inclusive learning and engagement Monitor and document students' progress toward therapeutic goals Educate teachers, families, and staff on strategies that facilitate student success Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to developing student support plans This is an ideal role for someone passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential.
