Job Description
Position Summary:
ICR Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic Lead to support operations at a busy recycling and waste processing facility. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of industrial equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations. This position requires strong mechanical skills, welding experience, and the ability to work in a dirty, dusty, fast-paced industrial environment.Schedule :
Full-time 11:30am -8:00pm Monday -Friday Work Environment:
Employees should expect to work in a recycling center with the following conditions:- Dirty, dusty, and noisy environment
- Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Working at elevated heights, including catwalks, platforms, and stairs
- Exposure to moving conveyor systems and heavy industrial equipment
- Physically demanding work requiring standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting throughout the shift Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor systems and industrial equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and moderate electrical issues.
- Repair and replace bearings, belts, chains, rollers, motors, gearboxes, and drive hubs.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain 3-phase motors.
- Perform welding and metal fabrication using SMAW (Stick) and GMAW (MIG) processes.
- Maintain and repair: o Black Rubber Conveyor belts o Glass breakers o Scalping screens o Trommels o Shakers o Kinetic pulverizes o Bag houses o Balers o Air compressors o Wood chippers o Bay doors o Material handling equipment
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Complete work orders and document repairs performed.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns as needed. Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance or maintenance mechanic experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of conveyor belt systems.
- Experience with welding and fabrication (SMAW and GMAW).
- Experience working with 3-phase motors.
- Moderate electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with drive hub repair.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics is preferred.
- Previous experience in a recycling, manufacturing, mining, aggregate, or heavy industrial environment is highly preferred. Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
- Work at elevated heights and around moving machinery.
- Work in dirty, dusty, noisy, and physically demanding conditions.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Benefits
