This vital role involves ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of plant equipment and systems through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial maintenance, electrical and mechanical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to operational excellence by maintaining high standards of equipment functionality and safety. Responsibilities 1. Come to work mentally and physically prepared. 2. Become familiar with the function of all emergency stops and switches for the machinery you're servicing. 3. Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the work area you're in. 4. Become familiar with the proper operation of
OXYACETYLENE WELDING
EQUIPMENT, their function and related hazards. 5. Wear the required PPE when usingOXY-ACETYLENE WELDING EQUIPMENT. 6.
Always apply the Lockout/Tagout procedure before making any adjustments, maintenance, repairs or cleaning operations to any machinery. 7. Become familiar with the proper use of hand tools, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical tools, their function and related hazards, especially HAND andPEDESTAL GRINDERS. 8.
Use extension tools such as a pry bar or hammer to clear any jams. 9. Become familiar with the proper operation of FORKLIFTS, their function and related hazards. 10. Conduct the required pre-shift Forklift Inspection 11. Consult the Shift Foreman if unsure of any function related to your job, stop and wait for proper instructions. Skills Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices. Strong electrical diagnostic skills including electrical troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation. Skilled in mechanical repair methods such as welding (stick welding) and equipment fabrication. Experience with industrial electrician tasks including wiring, circuit analysis, and control system troubleshooting. Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters for diagnostics. Excellent analysis skills coupled with customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external vendors. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork. This role is integral to maintaining the efficiency and safety of our manufacturing operations.
