Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Weigh Up Operator to join our dynamic food production team. This role is responsible for accurately weighing, dispensing, staging, and documenting raw materials used in the manufacturing of dietary supplements in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), batch production records, SOP's and food safety requirements. This position is critical to ensuring formulation accuracy, material traceability, and prevention of cross-contamination with the manufacturing process.
Shift Hours:
Monday through Friday; First shift (6 am to 2:30pm) Duties Retrieve and verify raw materials against batch production records and dispensing sheets Accurately weigh and dispense ingredients according to approved formulations and manufacturing instructions
Verify:
Material identity, lot numbers, expiration/retest dates, correct quantities, material status labels Properly document all weighing and dispensing activities in batch records and inventory systems Maintain complete traceability of all materials used in production Ensure scales and materials for production while maintaining segregation and identification requirements Follow allergen control and cross-contamination prevention procedures Clean dispensing equipment, weigh-up rooms, utensils and containers according to sanitation procedures Safely handle powders, using proper PPE and safe lifting techniques Report discrepancies, damaged materials, out of specification conditions, or documentation errors immediately to Quality Assurance and supervision Participate in inventory reconciliation and cycle counts as required Maintain organized, clean, and audit ready weigh-up and staging areas Follow all company safety policies and GMP requirements Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year manufacturing, warehouse, or dispensing experience preferred Basic math and measurement skills Ability to accurately follow batch records, SOPs and formulas Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Basic computer skills preferred Ability to work independently and within a team environment Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts Ability to bend, squat, reach, and perform repetitive motions Ability to work with powders and ingredients in manufacturing environments Preferred Skills Knowledge of dietary supplement cGMP regulations Experience using calibrated scales and weighing systems Understanding of material traceability and inventory control
