They manage maintenance schedules, coordinate projects, and collaborate with suppliers and contractors for installations and facility upgrades. This role implements continuous improvement processes, autonomous maintenance programs, and provides ongoing training to technicians on troubleshooting and equipment repair. They maintain equipment and parts inventory, prepare maintenance reports, and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations. Additionally, the manager promotes a strong culture of workplace safety by proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards. Responsibilities Develop the maintenance team, equipment performance, preventive maintenance program, building/grounds maintenance, ensuring workplace safety and implementing continuous improvement processes geared towards achieving increased production, evaluating processes and manufacturing/processing systems, along with capital investment management Develop and maintain maintenance department work schedules and plans. Coordinate and recommend maintenance projects. Work closely with suppliers and contractors, negotiating pricing and overseeing outside contractors performing installations and projects at the facility. Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program providing continuous training to technicians on performing PM tasks and troubleshooting equipment failures on machinery utilized in the production and packaging of glass/PET/aluminum bottled beverages and facilities supporting the production processes. Collaborate with operations and production planning to schedule maintenance activities with limited downtime. Develop, maintains, and implements autonomous maintenance program by facilitating on the job training with production employees. Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Ensures local, state, and federal regulations are upheld by maintenance team and all safety protocols and procedures are followed. Promote a culture of safety and reporting any unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions or potential hazards immediately Participate in Food Safety Committee, safety Committee and Crisis Management Team. Maintain safe and clean working environment by performing housekeeping complying with GMPs SQF HAACP, LOTO and general workplace safety standards Must maintain accurate documentation that is legible, and organized Must follow good manufacturing practices Must ensure food safety and quality are maintained by following regulations and company guidelines Participate in ongoing training related to job duties, safety, equipment operation, and product handling.
