Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Job Description

Position Summary The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability. This role involves working closely with the maintenance team, production staff, and other departments to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. Schedule Monday-Friday. 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans and schedules for all equipment and facilities. Coordinate with maintenance technicians and other departments to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks. Monitor and track maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory. Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs. Work closely with parts inventory and ensure availability of necessary materials. Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services. Prepare reports on maintenance activities, costs, and performance metrics. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes. Regular and reliable attendance. Non-Essential Duties May perform similar and incidental duties as required. Job Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in maintenance planning or a related field preferred. Experience 3-5 years of proven experience as a Maintenance Planner in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, and tools. Proficiency in maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS). Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize work. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. A mindset focused on continuous improvement. Major Business/Professional Contacts Regular contact with corporate cross-functional partners, manufacturing Team Members, and the Leadership Team. Occasional contact with vendors. Working and Environmental Conditions Typically functions in an office environment with regular use of a computer, keyboard, and telephone. Some field environment; travel from one production area or building to another; exposure to noise, dust, gases, moving machinery, inclement weather, cold/freezer storage temperatures.
