Coordinate and supervise maintenance operations, ground keeping, and custodial services in schools and related facilities. Oversee and supervise the Transportation Department operations. Facilitate safety, security, and energy conservation programs. Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, planning, environmental design, architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field
• OR any other combination of training and/or experience which demonstrated the applicant is likely to possess the required skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considered.
• 5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in large-scale food service production, including two years of management and/or supervisory experience.
• Preferred Five (5) years of increasing responsibility experience in maintenance, operations, transportation, facilities management, construction management, or a related field.
• Preferred Three (3) years of progressive responsibility supervisory or management experience overseeing personnel, budgets, projects, and daily operations.
• Experience planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction, modernization, deferred maintenance, and capital improvement projects, including coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
• Experience administering contracts, monitoring project budgets and schedules, reviewing plans and specifications, and ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and public contracting requirements.
• Experience in a California public school district, public agency, or similarly complex organization is highly desirable.
• Valid California Driver's License and an acceptable driving record. The following if not already certificated must be completed within the first 6 months of employment:
• Possession of a valid California Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
• Valid California School Bus Driver Certificate.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Valid First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or equivalent certification required for California school bus drivers.
• Completion of all state-mandated training requirements necessary to maintain certification and legally operate a school bus in California.
