Maintex, a family-owned chemical manufacturer and distributor for the cleaning industry, located in Poway, is currently seeking a full-time Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to supervise on our Equipment Service Team. About This Role Join Maintex as an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in keeping our fleet of floor cleaning machines and liquid dispensing systems running safely and efficiently. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, ensuring equipment uptime, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across our maintenance operations.
Perform and oversee preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and combustion engine problems on floor cleaning machines and liquid dispensing systems Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, assigning daily work and reviewing performance Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime Diagnose recurring equipment issues and implement corrective action plans Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and repair documentation Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations (OSHA) and company policy Order parts and manage vendor relationships to support timely repairs Partner with operations leadership to plan equipment upgrades, replacements, and capital needs Respond to urgent equipment failures and coordinate emergency repairs Conduct quality inspections on completed repairs Qualifications 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance/repair, including 1+ years in a supervisory or lead role Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and small engine/combustion systems Experience with industrial cleaning equipment, floor machines, or liquid dispensing systems preferred Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Valid driver's license Why Choose Maintex?
