Range:
$26.34•$39.59 Responsible for allocation of manpower within the department to ensure a safe and comfortable environment in accordance with established policies and procedures for staff and patients, which includes general conditions, plumbing, electrical service, and patient support equipment. Responsible for monitoring daily productivity and any specific areas of responsibility by department staff. Responsible for operating the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program and the performance of preventive and repair maintenance on various types of electrical and mechanical equipment. Serves as person in charge in the absence of the Manager. Provides training and in-service for the department. Takes an active role in the development and implementation of new department programs. Acts as a team leader to ensure appropriate resources to all internal and external customers with an ongoing commitment to quality. Utilizes appropriate work practices commensurate with the environment of work to include neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and psychiatric care patients. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
Job Requirements Minimum Education:
High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience
Preferred Education:
Specialized vocational training
Minimum Experience:
5•7 years overall facility maintenance
Preferred Experience:
1•3 years supervisory experience with 5•7 years overall facility operations
