This position is responsible for supervising the PM maintenance team, responding to guest and operational maintenance needs, completing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and provide direction to PM Maintenance/Engineering team members. Respond promptly to guest room and hotel maintenance requests. Troubleshoot and perform routine repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and general building systems. Assign and follow up on work orders to ensure timely completion. Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance, safety, and security concerns. Perform and monitor preventive maintenance throughout the hotel. Assist with emergency maintenance situations and after-hours operational needs. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and required inspection records. Ensure team members follow proper safety procedures and hotel policies. Communicate outstanding repairs, equipment issues, and operational concerns to Maintenance Management. Coordinate with other hotel departments to minimize disruption to guests and hotel operations. Assist with training, coaching, and monitoring the performance of maintenance team members.
Qualifications:
Previous hotel, commercial building, or facilities maintenance experience required. Previous supervisory or lead maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast-paced hotel environment. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions during the PM shift. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
