Chief Engineer - Hilton Garden Inn San Bernardino Full-Time | Hilton Garden Inn San Bernardino, CA Keep Our Hotel Running at Its Best! The Hilton Garden Inn San Bernardino is seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance and preventative maintenance program for our 115-room hotel. As our longtime Chief Engineer prepares for retirement, we're looking for a leader who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members. If you're a problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting, leading by example, and ensuring hotel systems operate efficiently, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Do Lead all aspects of the hotel's maintenance and engineering department. Perform and oversee preventative maintenance throughout the property. Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, locks, and other building systems. Maintain the pool, spa, and life safety systems. Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and local, state, and federal regulations. Coordinate outside vendors and contractors when needed. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records. Manage department inventory and purchasing. Train and supervise the maintenance team. Participate in the manager-on-duty rotation as needed. Qualifications Previous hotel maintenance experience required. Prior supervisory or Chief Engineer experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of:

HVAC systems Plumbing Electrical Carpentry Painting Mechanical equipment Preventative maintenance programs Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
