The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of building operations, ensuring the community remains safe, compliant, and well-maintained. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily building operations and maintenance systems Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and inspection readiness Manage and complete unit turns efficiently Maintain resident rooms and common areas to high standards Lead and supervise maintenance assistants, housekeeping, and laundry teams Develop and manage maintenance schedules and departmental budgets Coordinate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and local fire departments Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance programs Maintain organized records and ensure ongoing regulatory complianceQualifications:
Proven experience in building operations, maintenance management, and day-to-day problem-solving within a healthcare or senior living environment. One to three years of management or leadership experience preferred, with the ability to effectively oversee maintenance and housekeeping staff. Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, compliance requirements, inspection processes, and OSHA standards. Demonstrated leadership, team management, and operational coordination skills. Highly organized, with strong scheduling, budgeting, and project management abilities. Valid Driver's license required. Ability to respond promptly to facility emergencies, including evenings, weekends, and on-call situations as needed. Self-motivated, dependable, and solutions-oriented, with a proactive approach to operational challenges. Must be warm, patient, and able to interact effectively with seniors, including individuals with cognitive impairments.Work Schedule:
