Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Supervisor based in Signal Hill, California. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for leading daily maintenance operations, ensuring equipment and facilities are maintained safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, assigning and prioritizing work orders, conducting inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, and monitoring maintenance activities. The role also involves maintaining accurate maintenance records, enforcing safety policies and procedures, and supporting the training and development of maintenance team members to ensure operational excellence and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities Assign tasks and monitor staff performance Conduct inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports Assist in training and development of maintenance staff
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance, service, or repair experience within the elevator industry required Must reside within a commutable distance to Signal Hill, California. Previous supervisory, lead mechanic or team leadership experience preferred Strong working knowledge of elevator systems, preventative maintenance practices, troubleshooting, repair techniques, and applicable industry standards Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and mechanics while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to build strong client partnerships and effectively resolve service-related concerns Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, coordinate schedules, and respond promptly to urgent maintenance and service requests Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with customer Proficient in using mobile technology, work order management systems, and Microsoft Office applications is preferred Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety requirements, and safe work practices Valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly to customer locations and job sites
