This key leadership position is responsible for the effective day-to-day operation, maintenance, and stewardship of LTCC's campus facilities and grounds. The Director leads the College's maintenance, custodial, groundskeeping, fleet, and related operational functions; supervises and develops assigned staff; oversees departmental budgets and resources; and coordinates preventative maintenance, facility needs, regulatory compliance, and campus operations. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, solutions-oriented, and hands-on leader who combines strong facilities and operational expertise with the ability to effectively lead a team, manage competing priorities, and work across the College to support its educational mission. Successful candidates will then be interviewed by a committee of approximately 3-5 individuals; these interviews are tentatively scheduled for October 9, 2026 . Salary Range:
LTCC offers a competitive compensation package that includes a starting placement salary of $93,047 to $102,708 annually, dependent on education and experience. There is potential to reach $119,040 annually, through step advancement plus longevity when appropriate. In addition to base salary, this position qualifies for extra bilingual (Spanish), masters or doctorate pay.

Work-Life Balance:
This position is 40 hours per week and 12 months per year, including summer and winter hours. Hours are expected to be Monday-Friday, generally within the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, hours may vary according to the needs of the program. This position is ineligible for overtime compensation (exempt). LTCC provides a generous leave package including 17 paid holidays per year plus 18 days vacation (with the potential to reach 24 days through years of service) and 12 days sick leave per year. Description Definition:
Under the direction of the Vice President of Administrative Services, perform a variety of administrative duties related to the organization and implementation of the College's, maintenance, and daily operations; provide overall supervision and coordination of the College's, building maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial, fleet management for maintenance and district vehicles, safety and delivery functions; maintain compliance with College policies and local, state and federal laws and regulations; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
Representative Duties:
Oversee the planning, organizing and direction of a variety of programs, projects and activities related to the, groundskeeping, custodial, fleet management for maintenance and district vehicles, safety and delivery functions of the College; ensure that time, cost and quality objectives of projects are met; and develop routine maintenance schedules for College facilities and equipment. Assist in facilities master planning; provide information, extract data reports, complete forms and other information; the use of existing facilities and other matters related to college buildings. Communicate project status as directed; establish and maintain effective relationships with business and community groups and members, vendors, tradespersons, employees and students. Make recommendation in area of assignment concerning the implementation of College maintenance and operation, prepare reports and interpretations of related data for College staff and the public for decision making; complete plans and prepare reports as needed. Assist with the evaluation of special facility needs related to educational programs or unusual school problems, traffic flow, economy of maintenance, recommend solutions. Ensure these facilities meet safety regulations and adhere to the Americans with Disability Act with appropriate access to facilities. Ensure compliance with all of College policies, local, state and federal codes, laws and regulations applicable to assigned responsibilities; ensure cooperation in bidding procedures and that contract awards comply with College policies. Participate in ongoing training to enhance professional skills; acquire, maintain and provide current state-of-the-art status in methods and techniques; coordinate with local, state and national institutions or agencies; identify and prioritize in-service training needs; train employees in the safe operations of equipment and in the operation of building systems throughout the college. Direct the preparation of preliminary and annual budgets for assigned departments and areas of responsibility; ensure expenditures of approved budget are in conformance with College fiscal procedures. Establish department goals and objectives which are consistent with College policies; supervise assigned professional, managerial and support staff; present as needed; provide consultative services on departmental matters. Assist in the coordination of, procurement of materials, equipment, vehicle and tools related to areas of responsibility. Performs personnel functions (e.g. interviewing, evaluating, supervising, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget. Provide technical expertise, information and assistance to the Vice President of Administrative Services regarding assigned functions; assist in the formulation and development of policies, procedures and programs; design, develop and supervise a comprehensive plan for snow removal of all roads, parking lots, patios and doorways to ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors to campus. Direct the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records and files related to personnel and assigned activities. Communicate with other administrators, personnel and outside organizations to coordinate activities and programs; resolve issues and conflicts and exchange information. Operate all machinery used in the maintenance, custodial and grounds operation of the college. Operate a computer, office equipment and assigned software programs; attend and conduct a variety of meetings as assigned; drive a vehicle to conduct work. Serves on a variety of district committees as requested or as they pertain to purchasing. Participates in district all-staff events including but not limited to all campus team building day, convocation, state of the college address, senior day, and graduation.

Employment Standards Education and Experience Education and Experience Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor's degree in Management, Public Administration or other related field and two years of increasingly responsible experience in facilities and maintenance, including two years of supervisory experience; OR Associate's degree in Business Management and six years of experience with a demonstration of increasingly responsible experience in facilities or maintenance, including two years of supervisory experience

Estimate and procure personnel, equipment and materials needed to provide for planned and scheduled needs and projects. Inspect projects for accuracy, completeness and compliance with contracts and specifications. Establish and maintain departmental schedules and priorities. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Operate a computer and assigned office equipment. Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Meet schedules and time lines. Participate as a member of the College's administrative team focused on student achievement and success. Work independently with little direction. Plan and organize work. Prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports and present results at various venues. Direct the maintenance of a variety of reports, records and files related to assigned activities.
