Join WITRON as a Maintenance Manager We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations within a highly automated distribution center / warehouse environment. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of industrial automation, material handling systems (MHE), and team development. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of advanced systems including conveyors, sortation equipment, robotics, and control systems. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with leadership to drive uptime, reduce downtime, and support critical supply chain operations. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a vital role in optimizing maintenance strategies, improving system efficiency, and supporting business growth in a fast-paced fulfillment environment. Tracy, California Salary:
$100k plus based on experience Key Responsibilities Lead & develop a team of electro-mechanical technicians supporting automated warehouse systems (conveyors, sortation systems, AS/RS, robotics). Oversee preventive & predictive maintenance programs using CMMS to maximize system uptime and reliability. Analyze system performance data and KPIs (downtime, throughput, MTTR, MTBF) to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate maintenance scheduling and labor planning to meet production and fulfillment targets. Ensure spare parts inventory optimization, working closely with parts coordinators and procurement. Respond to and troubleshoot system outages, minimizing operational disruptions. Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and CI teams to enhance productivity and efficiency. Maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and safety standards, promoting a safety-first culture. Support site leadership, acting as backup to the Site Manager when needed. Manage training programs, SOPs, and technical documentation for maintenance teams.
Required Qualifications:
5 years of maintenance leadership experience in automated warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing / industrial environments Proven experience managing maintenance teams in shift-based operations Strong background in electro-mechanical systems and industrial automation Technical Skills & Expertise Material Handling Equipment (MHE): Conveyor systems, sortation, robotics, ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems)
Electrical & Controls:
3-phase 480V systems, DC and 24V controls PLC basics (troubleshooting / logic understanding) Servo drives, VFDs (inverters), and motor controls
Mechanical Systems:
Drive technology (motors, gears, bearings) Preventive maintenance and repair techniques
Systems & Tools:
CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) Maintenance planning software Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Physical & Work Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and climb continuously in a warehouse environment Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs Comfortable working at heights up to 115 feet Willingness to travel (domestic & international) for training and projects Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or extended hours as needed Why WITRON?
