$45-$50 About the Position We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead Technician to join our manufacturing team in Union City. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance , preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and industrial equipment. Experience with plumbing, welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, industrial electronics, and reading blueprints/schematics is highly valued. The Maintenance Lead Technician will also support other maintenance team members and help ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule . Key Responsibilities Respond to maintenance calls and production equipment issues. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing and facility equipment. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) to minimize equipment downtime. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and implement effective repairs. Complete maintenance work orders and assigned projects in a timely manner. Maintain parts inventory and order replacement parts as needed. Support equipment upgrades, improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist maintenance technicians and mechanics with troubleshooting and repairs. Communicate effectively with production operators, supervisors, and management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Perform general maintenance throughout the manufacturing facility. Complete additional maintenance-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 5-7 years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance experience preferred . Experience troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems . Ability to use a multimeter for electrical troubleshooting. Understanding of motor controls and VFDs/drives . Basic understanding of PLC logic and controls . Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings . Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Knowledge of power transmission systems. Welding and fabrication experience. Basic computer and math skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Safety-conscious and dependable. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Lean Manufacturing experience preferred. Food manufacturing experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position. The employee must be able to: Lift and carry equipment, tools, and materials. Work around and underneath machinery. Reach overhead and outward while performing maintenance tasks. Climb, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and work in various positions. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance equipment. Work on equipment at different heights and in tight or confined areas. Push and pull equipment or materials when required. Stand and walk for extended periods. Safely handle materials that may weigh 50+ pounds , with heavier equipment requiring appropriate assistance or equipment. Work Environment The position is performed in a manufacturing and maintenance environment and may involve exposure to: Machinery and moving equipment Dust, fumes, odors, and sparks Industrial noise Heat and cold Varying temperature and humidity Manufacturing materials and chemicals Proper PPE and safety procedures are required at all times.
