Job Description

Position Summary:
Responsible for leading daily operations of the Stuffers production area while performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on stuffer machines and related production line equipment. This role supports both mechanical maintenance and line-lead supervision, ensuring that production runs efficiently, safely, and according to customer and company standards. The Lead trains and supports employees on the line, monitors workflow, and coordinates closely with Maintenance, Sanitation, Packing, and DC teams.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in production, maintenance, or mushroom packing operations Hands-on mechanical ability (basic troubleshooting, equipment adjustments, minor repairs) Experience operating stuffer machines or similar automated/semiautomated equipment preferred High School Diploma or GED preferred Forklift certification or willingness to obtain company-provided certification Role and Responsabilities Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on stuffer machines, conveyors, motors, and line components. Calibrate, adjust, and set up equipment at the start of shift to ensure proper function and compliance with specs. Lead daily operations of the Stuffers area, delegating tasks and ensuring production targets are met. Train and mentor line workers on safe operation of stuffing equipment, packing expectations, and workplace safety. Assist in the flow of product from receiving to packing to cold storage as needed. Conduct visual quality control inspections for product appearance, weights, fill levels, labeling, and packaging. Complete equipment checks, report malfunctions, and collaborate with Maintenance or Management for larger repairs. Coordinate with Supervisors and Managers regarding performance, issues, equipment concerns, and efficiency improvements. Ensure compliance with GMPs, Food Safety, Safety Rules, and company policies. Support production lines by stepping into any role when needed, including packing, equipment operation, cooler roles, and/or finished goods handling. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with audit standards. Document maintenance actions and communicate equipment status at shift hand-off.

/ Abilities Mechanical aptitude and experience working with production equipment Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to coach, train, and develop employees Ability to work independently and troubleshoot under pressure Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks Familiarity with warehouse/packing environments and customer specifications Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
