Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of our building's infrastructure and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance skills in a fast-paced setting that values teamwork and excellence. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and facilities infrastructure. Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively. Maintain building interior spaces through painting, carpentry, and general facilities upkeep to ensure a clean and professional environment. Repair and service electrical equipment using electrical experience and tools such as ohmmeters; interpret schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Oversee plumbing system maintenance including leak repairs, pipe replacements, and system diagnostics to prevent disruptions. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems management when required. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects; ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality expectations. Support maintenance operations by managing maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies; keep detailed records of work performed. Collaborate with team members or contractors on complex projects involving HVAC system repair or building interior upgrades. Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with a strong mechanical background. Proficiency in electrical work including repair of electrical equipment; familiarity with schematics essential. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair; knowledge of plumbing codes preferred. Experience with HVAC systems repair and troubleshooting; ability to perform HVAC system diagnostics is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, carpentry, painting, and electrical equipment repair. Ability to read technical schematics and operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Knowledge of building interior maintenance standards; experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is a plus. Strong communication skills in English; capable of documenting work accurately. Familiarity with maintenance painting techniques; experience with residential painting is advantageous. Ability to use an ohmmeter for electrical testing; understanding of electrical safety protocols essential. Demonstrated leadership qualities with previous supervising experience preferred; capable of guiding junior staff effectively.
