Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our facilities and engineering operations with energy, precision, and a proactive mindset. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our facilities. Your leadership will ensure that all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Duties Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations such as OSHA standards. Oversee the management of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical systems, high voltage and low voltage systems to troubleshoot issues effectively. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule maintenance tasks, track repairs, and manage inventory. Conduct engineering troubleshooting for complex mechanical systems repair and industrial maintenance issues using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Manage facilities maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. Enforce safety protocols related to electrical systems, HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, and general facilities management to uphold a safe working environment. Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or installations while maintaining quality standards. Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities, system performance metrics, and safety compliance for senior management review. Experience Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in an industrial or large-scale commercial environment. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair, HVAC system troubleshooting, electrical systems (including high voltage), plumbing maintenance, and industrial equipment repair. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, electrical troubleshooting tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices for industrial maintenance operations. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting purposes. Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing teams effectively while fostering a safety-conscious work culture.
