Job Description
Facility Maintenance Technician III Lead Boulder, CO $36-$43/hour DOE Schedule Monday-Friday Standard Business Hours We're looking for an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician III Lead to support a manufacturing facility by maintaining critical building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. This role is responsible for keeping the facility operating safely and efficiently while supporting production, maintenance projects, and overall site operations. This is a hands-on position that combines facility maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and team leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, working independently, training others, and taking ownership of facility performance. Why This Role Stands Out Competitive pay: $36-$43/hour DOE Lead-level position with mentoring and training responsibilities Variety of work across facility systems and manufacturing equipment Opportunity to support special projects and facility improvements Stable manufacturing environment with strong technical challenges High visibility role supporting facility operations and safety initiatives What You'll Be Doing Maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and gas systems Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues to minimize downtime Maintain the appearance and functionality of the facility and grounds Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed Support facility-related safety initiatives and corrective actions Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation Manage inventory transactions and maintain adequate stock of maintenance parts and supplies Continually assess equipment, grounds, and facility conditions for safety, functionality, and appearance Assist the Facilities Manager with daily activities and special projects Serve as the subject matter expert for supported equipment and systems Train and mentor new and existing maintenance team members Provide coverage for meetings and activities when the Facilities Manager is unavailable Support continuous improvement efforts and other duties as assigned What We're Looking For High School Diploma or equivalent required 5+ years of facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong troubleshooting and repair experience involving facility and production equipment Manufacturing experience required HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance experience PLC programming experience Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and initiative Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong follow-through Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude with strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Valid driver's license with a good driving record Preferred Experience Trade school or additional technical education Cleanroom manufacturing environments Building Automation Systems (BAS) DI Water systems Leadership, mentoring, or training experience Facilities project coordination Preventive maintenance programs Ideal Background Facilities Maintenance Technician Facilities Technician Lead Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Industrial Maintenance Technician Facilities Specialist Maintenance Mechanic Building Maintenance Technician Facilities Engineer Technician The Bottom Line This is a great opportunity for a seasoned maintenance professional who enjoys a mix of facility operations, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and leadership responsibilities.
