We offer a full range of services, including landscape design, construction, and maintenance. If you have a passion for pruning, a knack for keeping things neat and you enjoy being outdoors working with your hands in the dirt, then consider a career as a Crew Leader for the Detail Crew! This position works under the direction of the Plant Health Care Manager, providing services to commercial customers. Duties and responsibilities Installation of annual and perennial flowers and bulbs per design/plan Maintain beds and lawns by removing weeds and adding 'finishing touches' to landscapes Must have ability to calibrate equipment to evenly apply chemical products (fertilizer, insecticides/pesticides and weed control) Swap out plant containers and flower beds seasonally (each spring/fall) Manage sites by fertilizing, watering, weeding, pruning and cultivating both interior/exterior plants Coordinate with Designer and/or Account Manager to ensure work is being performed as planned and on time and on budget Direct and/or perform plant maintenance, pest control and soil tests Manage team time keeping of self and landscape tech (typically 4-6) Supervise crew members to ensure the completion of the daily work plan, quality standards are met, and that production is maximized Understand the need for and exhibit the ability to adapt to meet critical deadlines Ensure a safe environment for employees, customers, and the public while ensuring the work is done efficiently Utilize analytical thinking and critical thinking to address work-related issues and problems Train and coach crew members on project tasks or skill development when necessary Notify the Production Supervisor of any job inefficiencies and document appropriately for continuous improvement Pay attention to detail, ensuring quality and thoroughness in completing work tasks and maintain a clean and presentable work site upon daily completion Address crew member personnel issues and discuss protocols in meetings with the Production Supervisor All team members help and support other departments when necessary, including snow removal and Christmas decor Other duties as assignedPhysical Demands & Work Environment:
Ability to lift to 40 lbs.- 50 lbs. 2 persons lift Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, crawling, stretching and standing, may at times be highly physical work Must have knowledge in us of, and physical dexterity to use equipment and gardening tools (shears, pruners, hoses, watering cans) This job is an indoor/outdoor job which will require exposure to all weather conditions, dust, dirt, chemicals/solvents and odors. PPE is provided and must wear company approved uniform 3+ years' experience in the industry and leading a crew Must have working knowledge of plant identification, specifically annual flowers, gardening, and chemicals Must be punctual, responsible and have a positive, can-do attitude Demonstrate dependability and efficient work practices Excellent with computer software, especially Microsoft Office and job management software. Ability to learn new software quickly Leadership, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills (including the handling of multiple priorities and deadlines) Effective organizational skills that include the ability to self-manage work and manage the work of others Must be highly adaptable to the kinds of change that come along with working in an entrepreneurial environment Self-starting initiative to pursue improvements and projects without substantial supervision Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license with a clean driving record Desired Landscape Industry Certified in Softscape (commercial) or Hardscape (residential) a plus CDA QS Certification Bilingual inEnglish and Spanish Location:
