General Manager / Group General Manager - Maintenance Lead Maintenance. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of a distribution center. This position will lead a diverse maintenance team and ensure the facility, equipment, and critical systems remain safe, reliable, and operational. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for supervising maintenance employees, coordinating contractors, managing preventive maintenance and repairs, and overseeing electrical, plumbing, mechanical, refrigeration, generator, and related facility systems. Key Responsibilities Supervise, schedule, and assign daily work to skilled and semi-skilled maintenance employees. Ensure all facility equipment and systems are operating properly and address repairs as needed. Develop and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime. Inspect facilities and equipment regularly, diagnose problems, and initiate corrective action. Coordinate contractors and outside vendors, particularly for electrical and refrigeration systems . Coordinate maintenance and testing of facility power generators . Oversee maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, and related facility systems. Perform complex maintenance and repair tasks when necessary. Determine appropriate materials, equipment, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance projects. Reassign personnel and equipment between projects based on operational priorities. Maintain maintenance equipment, tools, and materials. Ensure maintenance work areas are clean, organized, and safe. Lead and support maintenance activities including painting, carpentry, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, and related systems. Work effectively with all levels of management and make independent decisions when necessary. Respond to mechanical challenges and troubleshoot problems with minimal direction. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience in general maintenance or a closely related maintenance field. Ability to recognize and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and equipment failures . Understanding of facility electrical power systems . Understanding of refrigerants and refrigeration systems . Approximately 36 months of education and training beyond high school in general maintenance, repair, or a closely related field. Experience supervising and leading a maintenance team. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and solve problems effectively. Ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce. #Hart-1 Preferred Qualifications Technical school training in maintenance or a related field. Electrical or plumbing certifications are preferred. Experience working with contractors and outside service providers. Experience maintaining generators and facility power systems. Experience in a distribution center or similar industrial/facility environment. Computer Skills Microsoft Windows Microsoft Office Physical Requirements The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with reasonable accommodations available when appropriate. Lift up to 30 lbs. Stand for extended periods. Walk frequently throughout the facility. Climb stairs. Work around varying temperatures within a distribution center environment. You should be comfortable diagnosing facility issues, coordinating contractors, managing preventive maintenance, and making decisions quickly to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
