Job Description

Chief Engineer - Full-Time (Salaried) Delamar Mystic | Waterfront Boutique Hotel Delamar Mystic, a luxury waterfront hotel overlooking the Mystic River, is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead all maintenance and engineering operations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring active participation in daily maintenance and work orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all maintenance operations, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs Perform and manage preventive maintenance programs across guest rooms, public areas, restaurant, and facilities Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution Supervise and lead the engineering/maintenance team Maintain all systems including lighting, refrigeration, laundry, kitchen equipment, and building infrastructure Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal codes, permits, and safety regulations Manage safety, security, and health programs, including OSHA compliance and emergency procedures Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and local emergency services
Qualifications:
Prior hotel engineering supervisor experience required Strong leadership and hands-on technical skills across multiple trades Ability to manage compliance, safety programs, and team performance Must pass an extensive background check and drug screening
