Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Healthcare Maintenance Supervisor to lead our facilities maintenance team in ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of healthcare environments. In this vital role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within healthcare facilities. Your leadership will drive compliance with safety regulations and maintenance procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex systems while fostering a culture of safety and excellence. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities across all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within healthcare facilities. Manage facilities maintenance teams by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing mentorship to ensure high standards of work quality. Oversee the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems such as HVAC units, electrical systems—including high voltage and low voltage wiring—and plumbing infrastructure. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule preventive maintenance, track work orders, and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections. Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety regulations by implementing safety protocols and conducting regular safety training sessions for staff. Read schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently. Lead project management efforts for facilities upgrades or repairs by planning timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring completion within scope. Skills Strong management skills with proven experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in a healthcare or industrial setting. Extensive mechanical knowledge including HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical systems troubleshooting—both high voltage and low voltage—and general industrial maintenance. Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing tools such as multimeters. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations along with experience managing safety programs in complex environments. Excellent project management abilities to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines. Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, scheduling, and communication purposes. Experience with CMMS software to streamline maintenance workflows and recordkeeping. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship. Knowledge of engineering troubleshooting techniques for mechanical systems repair and facility management best practices.
