A hands-on supervisory position that is responsible for the scheduling of inspections, maintaining, and repairing the City's stormwater infrastructure. Serving as a crew lead on job sites, provides direction and guidance, ensures processes, procedures, and safety protocols are followed. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Public Works Superintendent, or their designee. Leads and coordinates daily work of assigned Stormwater Maintenance Team. Helps plan and prepare work order schedules and assigns related tasks to assigned work crews. Monitors completion, quality, and productivity. Proactively inspects and maintains stormwater infrastructure, including inlets, pipes, ponds, outfalls, ditches, swales, underdrain, and drainage structures. Identifies and presents reports to address drainage deficiencies, blockages, erosion, sediment, and maintenance needs. Responds to public drainage complaints, flooding concerns, and stormwater service requests. Operates and oversees the safe use of stormwater maintenance equipment and vehicles. Coordinates field activities with department supervisor and other City departments. Maintains accurate inspection, maintenance, and work-order records. Assists with pre-storm preparation, emergency response, and post-storm inspections. Provides field recommendations regarding repairs, maintenance needs, and drainage improvements. Ensures work is performed safely and in accordance with City procedures and applicable regulations. Completes tasks promptly and meets deadlines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of stormwater drainage systems, maintenance practices, and inspection procedures. Knowledge of occupational hazards as well as safety precautions of the workplace. Knowledge of safe equipment operation and field maintenance practices. Knowledge of applicable stormwater, environmental, and safety regulations. Knowledge of basic drainage principles and stormwater infrastructure. Skill in leading, organizing, and coordinating field crews. Skill in operating and maintaining stormwater maintenance equipment. Skill in identifying drainage problems and determining appropriate maintenance needs. Skill in maintaining accurate records, work orders, and inspection documentation. Skill in communicating effectively with staff, residents, contractors, and other agencies. Ability to layout, direct, and lead the work crew. Ability to read and interpret plans, maps, drainage easements, and basic construction documents. Ability to prioritize work and respond effectively to urgent drainage and flooding concerns. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and physical conditions. Ability to train and provide direction to assigned personnel. Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with the Public Works Superintendent. Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations:

Possession of a Valid Class "B" Commercial Florida Drivers License with Tanker Endorsement preferred, or have the ability to obtain within 6 months if hired. Ability to obtain Intermediate MOT certification, and

certificates within 6 months if hired. High school graduate or possession of an acceptable equiva­lency diploma Five (5) years of experience performing maintenance and or construction of stormwater infrastructure
