Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Manager to oversee our maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and extensive knowledge in industrial maintenance in food manufacturing, facilities management, and project management. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure the efficient operation of all maintenance activities, including managing a team of technicians and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Duties Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Develop and implement maintenance management strategies to enhance equipment reliability and performance. Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules. Ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high and low voltage), and mechanical equipment. Review schematics to diagnose issues and guide repairs effectively. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement or necessary repairs. Collaborate with project management teams on facility upgrades or new installations. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including reports on equipment performance and repairs conducted. Qualifications Proven experience in a supervisory role within an industrial maintenance environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical systems, HVAC, and facilities management. Proficiency in using tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics. Familiarity with maintenance practices related to manufacturing environments. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Experience with project management principles is preferred but not required.
