Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent, Golf Course and Maintenance, to join our dynamic groundskeeping team. You will assist the superintendent in the upkeep and maintenance of the golf course, community facilities, and amenities. Assume the responsibilities of the superintendent in his/her absence, including but not limited to oversight of course groundskeepers, irrigation technicians, pool maintenance, equipment operators, equipment repair and upkeep, turf preparation, drainage, irrigation, brush and weed control, and general maintenance needs. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily golf course maintenance activities, including turf care, landscaping, and hardscape projects Supervise crew members in performing lawn care, landscape maintenance, planting, pruning, and tree care tasks Oversee irrigation management to ensure optimal watering schedules and system performance for healthy turf and plant growth Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently, including mowers, trimmers, irrigation tools, and company vehicles Coordinate construction projects related to course improvements or landscaping upgrades Ensure all outdoor work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations Support the training and development of team members in equipment operation, horticulture practices, and grounds management. Skills Extensive outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance and experience Significant turf knowledge and experience Proven supervising experience with crew management and team leadership capabilities Expertise in irrigation systems management and troubleshooting for optimal water distribution Familiarity with horticulture principles, tree care practices, gardening techniques, and ground preservation methods Ability to operate a variety of groundskeeping machinery safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills to coordinate projects and lead a diverse team effectively. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
