Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Manager specialized in Electric Buses to lead our maintenance operations. In this dynamic role, you will oversee the repair, servicing, and preventative maintenance of electric buses, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold quality standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within our maintenance team. Duties Supervise daily maintenance activities for electric buses, including diagnostics, repairs, and preventive servicing to ensure safety and reliability. Coordinate and prioritize maintenance schedules, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum fleet availability. Oversee the inspection and repair of mechanical systems such as transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components specific to electric vehicles. Lead troubleshooting efforts utilizing schematics, automotive electrical system diagnostics, and heavy equipment operation knowledge to resolve complex issues efficiently. Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment necessary for vehicle maintenance; ensure proper storage and safety protocols are followed. Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices for electric bus repair, heavy equipment operation, welding, soldering, tire service, and other technical skills. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Skills Proven dealership or heavy vehicle maintenance experience with a strong background in fabrication, automotive diagnostics, and vehicle systems repair. Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Proficiency in reading schematics related to electrical systems and mechanical diagrams for troubleshooting complex issues. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical system repair, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, alignment procedures, shocks & struts. Skilled in using power tools, hand tools, welding equipment and performing equipment maintenance tasks safely and efficiently. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel mechanics including diesel engine repair and HVAC systems for electric buses. Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards; excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Familiarity with vehicle assembly processes as well as heavy truck repair techniques; experience working with tractor-trailers is a plus. Join us as we drive innovation in sustainable transportation!
