Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as the Hotel Chief Engineer, a pivotal leadership role dedicated to ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. In this energetic position, you will oversee facilities management, lead maintenance teams, and uphold safety standards to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team, managing daily operations and ensuring adherence to safety regulations such as OSHA standards. Oversee the repair, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical systems including HVAC units, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and industrial equipment. Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize equipment lifespan and reduce downtime. Troubleshoot engineering issues by interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals; utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters for accurate diagnostics. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits, training staff on proper maintenance repair procedures, and maintaining detailed documentation of all maintenance activities. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations involving high voltage electrical work or complex mechanical systems repair. Qualifications Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams within a hospitality or industrial environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems troubleshooting (including high voltage), plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance practices. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, OSHA safety regulations, and facilities management software such as CMMS. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills in English to clearly convey technical information to team members and stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Knowledge of maintenance repair procedures including electrical experience with voltmeters and ohmmeters; ability to work safely with high voltage systems.
