Cumberland International Trucks is seeking a skilled Shop Service Foreman to join our growing Ocala, FL service team. Candidates with dealership and/or heavy-duty diesel equipment experience are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do As Shop Service Foreman, you will lead day-to-day shop operations, support technician performance, and ensure a high standard of service.
Your responsibilities include:
Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring knowledgeable technicians who follow OEM repair guidelines Coaching and mentoring technicians to produce high-quality repairs efficiently Managing service department performance by analyzing efficiencies and gross profit margins Supporting productive staffing, strong customer relationships, and overall operational success Ensuring customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service Assigning work and supervising Diesel Technicians Serving as a key liaison between technicians and customers Taking ownership of the customer experience and ensuring a positive outcome Building strong internal and external relationships through clear, professional communication Your leadership will directly influence team performance, customer satisfaction, and department success. What We're Looking For Strong organizational and multitasking skills Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and customer service skills (internal and external) Technical or product knowledge relevant to service operations preferred Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, and takes pride in helping a team succeed.
