09/08/2026 4:41 PM Head Mechanic/Shop Foreman - Part Time $21.34/Hour This is highly skilled work involving the preventive and routine maintenance, mechanical diagnoses, troubleshooting and repair, of power tools, small engine equipment, light/medium/heavy duty trucks, heavy equipment (gasoline and diesel), and specialized related equipment. Work is performed under the general direction of the Fleet Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities:
Prepares preventive and routine maintenance schedules as determined by time, hours, mileage, manufacturer's recommendations, oil analysis, historical records, and warranty requirements. Performs the preventive and routine maintenance, and repairs of all public works vehicles and equipment. Maintains a safe work area. Makes repairs of vehicles and equipment in the shop and on job sites. Prepares standard equipment specifications for new vehicles and equipment. Recommends replacement of vehicles and equipment and obtains prices for replacement(s). Performs related work as required.
Requirements:
High School graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma Two (2) Years experience in automotive/truck/equipment repair. A.S.E. certified in the truck or automotive field, preferred - SUBMIT
