Manageable Workload. No Grounds or Exterior Duties. Sound like a breath of fresh air? Rent Prosper is hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician at Cypress Pointe in the Rosemont area near Lake Orlando. This is a hands-on field role at a smaller community of under 100 units. You'll be the boots on the ground — handling work orders, coordinating vendors for bigger jobs, and keeping residents happy day to day. No grounds. No trash. No exterior duties. The HOA handles all of that. Your focus is your units and your residents. This role works alongside our office staff and reports to our Maintenance Supervisor as the team grows. It's a great fit for an experienced technician ready to step into a lead role at a property where your work actually makes a difference.

Big Perk:

What You'll Be Doing Self-starter who stays proactive working alongside a small team Perform hands-on repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances Complete unit turnovers: inspect, scope, repair, and prepare units for new residents Manage and check on vendors for larger jobs and make-readies Complete daily work orders in our property management system Maintain accurate logs of time, materials, receipts, and before and after photos Communicate professionally with residents and team members Ensure safety and quality standards are met on every job

Maintenance Scope Includes:

HVAC:

Troubleshooting, full system repairs, and replacements (coils, compressors, fans, etc.)

Appliances:

Troubleshooting, installation, and repair of stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, and microwaves

Plumbing:

Repairs and replacements for sinks, toilets, valves, water heaters, and disposals

Electrical:

Fixtures, fans, switches, receptacles, and appliance wiring

General:

Drywall, touch-up painting, carpentry, and make-readies What We're Looking For 7+ years of maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, appliances, make-readies) 5+ years of residential HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and installations 2+ years in a lead or senior technician role EPA Certification required Valid driver's license required Comfortable with a pre-employment background screening Positive communicator who takes pride in resident service Self-starter who doesn't need hand-holding to get the job done

Compensation and Benefits Pay:

$25-$27/hour based on experience 5-
