Job Description

Maintenance DirectorJob Overview Pahokee Health & Rehab is hiring an experienced Maintenance Director to lead maintenance operations at our facility. This full-time role is responsible for the efficient operation of our building, equipment, and systems, and for leading a team of maintenance professionals. The ideal candidate has strong leadership abilities and a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Duties Manage and supervise the maintenance team to ensure effective performance and adherence to safety standards. Oversee the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules. Conduct regular inspections of the facility and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Develop and implement maintenance strategies for HVAC systems, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and other critical equipment. Lead projects related to facility improvements, upgrades, and installations while minimizing disruption to residents and staff. Troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems, including high and low voltage, using schematics and mechanical knowledge. Provide training and support to staff on maintenance procedures and safety protocols. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with facility schedules. Requirements Proven experience in a management role within maintenance or facilities management. Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC), HVAC systems, electrical systems, and industrial maintenance practices. Proficiency using a CMMS for tracking work orders and managing maintenance tasks. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team of technicians. Solid mechanical knowledge, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficient written and verbal English communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
