A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

OVERVIEW
The maintenance Planner Analyst role is to support the maintenance department, managing maintenance data collection and information gathering to, more effectively, provide the maintenance department to obtain equipment capability, availability and reliability. Maximizing operating profit through using planned maintenance where it is more effective.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning. Estimates required hours on work order tasks, total work order duration, and skills required to perform the task. Payroll entry and corrections into SAP as emergency backup. Balancing payroll to planned maintenance Plans jobs with appropriate level of detail for the given skilled trades workforce. Procedures equipment and specialized tools required to perform work. Determines and arranges for parts required to perform the work. Plans parts for all projects to increase "wrench time" and maximize efficiency. Prints and delivers work orders to the skilled trades in conjunction with the weekly work schedule. Upon completion of jobs, communicates with skilled trades regarding ideas and procedures that would make future jobs more efficient. Coordinates priority setting with the management team - places specific emphasis on obtaining the input of operations personnel in the setting of priorities. Keeps bills of materials current. Is able to accurately measure the maintenance backlog Responsible for equipment and repair parts data entry and management. Ensures all work orders and maintenance log items are closed when work is finished. Participates in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk assessment, execution, and continuous improvement. Prepare work schedules and pick list for outages.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS BS
degree preferred. Consideration will be given to individuals with and equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree must have been awarded by an accredited college or university in the US, if degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the US Territory independent verification of equivalency must be provided. Minimum 5-years work experience in the skilled trades Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude Supervisory experience is desirable Ability to communicate in English -Bi-lingual a plus (Spanish) SAP experience a plus

) Computer skills required Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Able to efficiently perform internet searches and research. Able to read and interpret vendor manuals and drawings. Able to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and vendors, OEM suppliers, and management personnel. Able to perform some level of cost analysis and work within a structured budget. Ability to write detailed repair reports. Able to develop and deliver a clear and concise presentation when required. Committed to safety and teamwork. Highly motivated. Ability to learn and apply maintenance best practices. Ability to organize and plan tasks. Familiar with OSHA, Environmental and Health rules and regulations Ability to receive, comprehend and utilize OSHA required training. Ability to ascend and descend stairs and stationary vertical ladders as part of normal work activity and emergency egress situations. Ability to work in contrasting plant environments. Ability to move about all areas of the plant, including catwalks, deck grating, wet and muddy areas, and uneven surfaces. Provide temporal supervision to employees while other supervisors are off-duty. Bi-Lingual a plus (English/Spanish)
