Occasional weekend work may be required. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of a production facility. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for keeping machinery and equipment operating safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. The Maintenance Lead will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while leading, training, and coordinating the maintenance team in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Lead, schedule, and coordinate daily maintenance activities. Troubleshoot and repair production and packaging equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment prints. Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance (PM) program to reduce downtime. Respond to equipment breakdowns and lead troubleshooting efforts to minimize production delays. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, PM records, and parts documentation. Manage spare parts inventory and order parts as needed. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and equipment manufacturers. Schedule and coordinate vendor visits, inspections, repairs, and service appointments. Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance technicians. Work closely with Production and Operations leadership to prioritize repairs. Identify equipment upgrades, process improvements, and cost-saving opportunities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area. Communicate with outside maintenance providers and equipment manufacturers regarding repairs and technical support. Requirements 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production facility. Experience troubleshooting production or packaging machinery, including conveyors, packaging equipment, motors, pumps, PLCs, etc. Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems . Ability to read and work from manuals, blueprints, schematics, and equipment prints. Previous leadership, supervisory, or lead technician experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Forklift certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain certification. High school diploma or GED required. Technical/trade school certification preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lead and direct a maintenance team in a fast-paced production environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, climb, and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working around moving machinery. Comfortable working in varying temperatures and a production/warehouse environment. Must follow all required PPE and facility safety procedures. Must be available to respond to urgent equipment issues outside of normal scheduled hours when needed.
