Full Job Description Tech III Maintenance Manager Job Type:

Full-Time Are you a senior-level maintenance mechanic who thrives on solving tough mechanical and electrical problems? We're looking for a Tech III Maintenance Mechanic to take the lead on keeping our food manufacturing equipment running at full speed. This is a hands-on role for someone who can troubleshoot independently, make fast technical calls under pressure, and mentor less experienced techs along the way. What You'll Do Troubleshoot batch freezers, pasteurizers, homogenizers, pumps, valves, conveyors, and utility systems at an advanced level Perform complex mechanical repairs, including rebuilds of pumps, gearboxes, valves, motors, and mechanical assemblies Diagnose electrical issues up to 480V, including motors, contactors, VFDs, sensors, and relays Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and OEM manuals Execute preventive maintenance across all processing and packaging equipment Lead equipment changeovers and confirm proper setup before production runs Support CIP/sanitation troubleshooting for valves, pumps, and flow paths Identify root causes of downtime and implement lasting corrective actions Train and mentor Tech I and Tech II staff on equipment operation and maintenance Document all work with accurate parts usage and repair notes Maintain GMP compliance and ensure equipment meets food safety standards Coordinate with production to minimize downtime and optimize line performance Respond to emergency breakdowns and complete repairs with minimal supervision What You'll Bring 5-10 years of industrial maintenance experience in food, beverage, dairy, or cold processing Expert-level mechanical skills: pumps, valves, motors, bearings, gearboxes, alignment Strong electrical knowledge: VFDs, PLC inputs/outputs, sensors, 3-phase motors Ability to read schematics and OEM manuals without assistance Solid understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics Confidence working independently and making sound technical decisions on the fly Strong communication skills for coordinating with production and QA teams Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
