Job Description Job Description TCNH, a skilled nursing facility in Trenton, FL, is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Director to keep our facility safe, functional, and welcoming for the residents who call it home. You will own the physical plant end to end, from daily repairs and preventive maintenance to safety compliance and supervising the maintenance team. This is a working supervisor role, so you will be as comfortable with tools in hand as you are managing schedules and records. What You'll Do Keep all physical aspects of the building in safe, working order, and maintain the plant within state and federal guidelines Handle hands-on repairs across multiple trades: plumbing, lighting, fixtures, flooring, and wall and drywall repair Supervise and support the maintenance team as a working supervisor, setting daily assignments and ensuring quality Create and manage schedules for housekeeping and laundry personnel Order, track, and account for maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry supplies Stay current on work orders and complete daily assignments and accurate record keeping Run required fire, life, and safety drills and maintain records in line with all applicable codes Maintain proper safety practices and the care and operation of physical equipment Transport residents to scheduled medical appointments and help coordinate that scheduling Assist in developing department policies and procedures, and serve on committees as required Participate in required in-service training, continuing education, and quality assurance programs What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Hands-on experience across the core building trades: plumbing, lighting, fixtures, flooring, and wall and drywall repair Skilled nursing facility (SNF) maintenance experience greatly preferred Prior supervisory or lead experience in a facility setting Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and follow through independently Patience, tact, and genuine comfort working around elderly residents and their families Clear written and verbal communication with staff, residents, families, and outside professionals Valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record (for resident transport) The Work Environment You will move between an office, all interior areas of the facility, and outdoor spaces like courtyards and patios. The role is active and includes the normal hazards of maintenance work, so attention to safety is essential. You will also interact daily with residents and families, many of whom are navigating illness, aging, or loss. The right person brings a steady, compassionate presence to those moments and represents the facility professionally at all times.
