Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead our automotive service department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive the profitability of the service department. Duties Lead and manage the daily operations of the automotive service department, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service delivery Supervise and motivate service technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance including oil changes, brake repair, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, transmissions, air brake systems, and collision repair processes Utilize estimating software for accurate vehicle damage assessments and service writing to prepare detailed repair estimates Drive sales through upselling additional services such as auto estimating, vehicle diagnostics, and recommended repairs while maintaining integrity Manage client communication effectively by explaining repair procedures clearly and providing exceptional customer service experiences Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies needed for various automotive repairs Ensure compliance with dealership policies, safety regulations, and industry standards Requirements Proven experience in auto service management or a similar leadership role within an automotive dealership or repair shop Strong mechanic experience with comprehensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Familiarity with dealership operations, sales techniques including upselling, and service writing practices Extensive knowledge of automotive systems such as transmissions, brakes, suspension components, tire services, shocks & struts, oil changes, air brake systems, collision repair techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in auto repair or collision repair environments is highly desirable Join us to lead a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding automotive care!
