The Maintenance Director is responsible for ensuring that the building, grounds, equipment, utilities, and essential systems are maintained in a safe, clean, comfortable, functional, and regulatory-compliant condition for our residents, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of maintaining a healthcare environment, and can effectively manage both routine maintenance needs and emergency situations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day maintenance and physical plant operations at Cumming Health and Rehab. Maintain the facility, grounds, equipment, utilities, and building systems in safe and reliable working condition. Develop, implement, and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program. Conduct routine inspections of the building, resident rooms, common areas, equipment, and grounds. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address safety concerns. Coordinate repairs and service calls with qualified outside contractors and vendors. Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, permits, licenses, and service agreements. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, fire, safety, environmental, and long-term-care requirements. Maintain the facility in a state of survey readiness and assist with regulatory inspections. Oversee fire and life-safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, emergency generators, and related equipment.
