Job Description

Primary Objective:
Ensure all pre-owned vehicles acquired through trade-in, auction, or street purchase are reconditioned and front-line ready within 5 days, without compromising quality by working with the Recon Manager and responsible departments within the Recon Process. This includes overseeing the timely flow of each vehicle through the following stages: Detail, Photography, Cosmetic Repairs (Recon), and Mechanical Inspection/Repairs (Shop).
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Reconditioning Workflow Coordinate with Department Managers Track Vehicle Status Ensure the Recon Manager is checking keys in and out of the Keyper systems when they are stocked and deleting the keys when units are sold. Set and Monitor Deadlines Quality Control Inventory Readiness Reporting Work Order & Cost Management Vendor Coordination Process Improvement Vehicle Transport & Staging Policy Enforcement & Compliance Team Collaboration & Communication Documentation & Records Management Automotive Service Manager Job Requirements Previous experience as a service manager is required Extensive technical background with management training Required to not only understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect their operations, but must also comply with these regulations including hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know and provide necessary training on these regulations and ethical practices Professional certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is preferred Outstanding communication skills State inspection certification ALM Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
